February really is a fantastic month for fashion. Thanks to the Bafta, Grammy and Brit Awards we’ve already seen everyone who’s anyone hit the red carpet in the best gowns Valentino and Dior have to offer, all in the hope of being crowned best dressed of the night.
But as well all know by now, our favourite A-listers save their best frocks till last, so let’s open those doors one last time and take a peak inside to see who wore what to this year’s Oscar ceremony.
Not only did Jennifer Lawrence win the Oscar for best actress thanks to her portrayal of sex addicted widower Tiffany in The Silver Linings Playbook, this budding young actress undeniably took home the gong for best dressed after dazzling the crowd in this dramatic bridal inspired Dior Couture gown. We’ll just forget about the minor mishap of the dress causing poor Jen to fall up the stairs later on in the evening – though with Bradley Cooper and Hugh Jackman rushing to the stars rescue I’m not entirely sure this was such a bad thing after all.
Jennifer Aniston has become known for rocking the little black dress when it comes to red carpet events, but last Sunday the Wanderlust actress turned up the heat in this smoking hot Valentino gown which well and truly earned Jen a place on the night’s best dressed list.
You’d never believe Sandra Bullock was 48-years-old from looking at her. The actress looks about 10 years younger in this fitted and highly flattering Elie Saab design teamed with a Swarovski clutch.
It’s amazing to think that even with a year to prepare and a team of designers and make-up artists at their beck and call some celebrities still manage to get it oh so wrong on the big night!
Oh dear, you would have hoped Melissa McCarthy would have known this highly unflattering David Meister dress simply wasn’t worthy enough for the Oscars. Looks like it’s time for someone to hire a new stylist.
Helena Bonham Carter is known for her crazy style but this black and white layered Vivienne Westwood dress looks like it got caught in a paper shredder just before the actress put it on, hardly the stuff of magic Helena.
Zooey Deschanel’s style seems to have gone from quirky to granny in this shapeless Valentino gown that does nothing to flatter the stars gorgeous figure. I am loving her new hair though.
What do you think about the gowns worn to this year’s Oscar ceremony? Don’t hesitate to comment your opinions below!

If it wasn’t for the white bit on Helena’s dress, it’s acually not that bad!
I agree, I think if it was completely black it would look better!
